It is finished!

A first limited edition of my Walt Disney Concert Hall organ premiere recording, First & Grand, is now available – just in time for the holiday season:

John Winston Ono Lennon, MBE, was born on October 9, 1940 in Liverpool.                                This means that today, Saturday, October 9, 2010, is his 70th birthday.                                      Happy Birthday, John!

(Continued from my last post on June 28, 2010, about the release of the first single           from the Walt Disney Concert Hall organ premiere recording.)

Hooray! The first single from my premiere recording of the Walt Disney Concert Hall pipe organ is up and running on Amazon, iTunes, and CD Baby:

Hitchcock! Haunting my dreams. Keeping me up at night. Murder!

Okay, so I went to bed really late last night. I was sitting at my Allen TC 12 home organ improvising themes and motives to images of Alfred Hitchcock's first silent movie thriller The Lodger playing on my MacBook Pro laptop. I'm preparing this for a happening on Saturday April 10, 2010, 8 p.m. at UCLA's jewel Royce Hall: http://www.uclalive.org/Event.asp?Event_ID=686

Thanks to a successful fundraising drive in December of 2009, resulting in generous contributions from music lovers believing in this project, I was able to return to Walt Disney Concert Hall in downtown Los Angeles for additional recording sessions on January 10 and 11 of 2010, the year of the white tiger (and, no doubt, of the white bull).

On Friday, October 23, 2009, I had a wonderful opportunity that I'd been thinking about for years: combining a pipe organ concert with a laser show.

This opportunity was given to me by the music department of one of the most happening churches in the city: First Congregational Church Los Angeles (fccla.org).
