CarbonPig was founded by Matt Oden in 2008 to help finance renewable energy projects through web community and retail sales. Matt has an extensive background in environmental issues having studied environmental science and policy and UC Berkeley and Yale University, worked for the United Nation in the EU and Africa, and traveled to more than 30 nations to work on projects. He currently works as the sustainability director at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles
