Court Chu's Biography

I graduated from Art Center College of Design in 1999, majoring in illustration. After cleaning up the floors and tearing tickets at a movie theater, my other early jobs included rotoscoping at Flash Filmworks and freelance illustration at various places. I then went into videogames and worked at Pandemic Studios for over 7 years, where I was the principal concept artist on the Mercenaries games. I've storyboarded the cinematics, edited and created animatics, directed mo-cap actors, taught figure drawing, and created marketing images. For the past year, I've worked as a freelance concept artist for Disney Interactive, Sony, and MastersFX. I got into art because I really really did not want to flip burgers and do a boring job. I love to create worlds, imagery, move people, change people's minds, and what better better way than in tv,movies and video games.
