Claudia Becker's Biography

Born in Guatemala City, the daughter of a Nestle executive and a very entrepreneurial mother, I was exposed to advertising characters printed on cereal boxes and milk cans at an early age. I was always fascinated by funny faces and happy creatures, which I would cut out and collect in a tin box. I always liked drawing little monsters, martians and silly things. I graduated from fashion school and enjoyed creating. A couple of years later I took a job as a toy buyer and was really introduced to a whole new world of fun, which led me to come to this wonderful country and later co-own a toy company called Funko Inc., and now Flapjack Toys. I don't consider myself an artist, but someone with a lot of imagination who can communicate new ideas to good artists.
