Judith Joseph Studio's Biography

Chicago area artist Judith Joseph has made hundreds of commissioned works, including ketubahs, paintings and illustrations for publication. She is nationally known for her ketubahs (hand-lettered, hand-painted Jewish marriage contracts). Her work is licensed with Ketubah.com and ArtVows.com, and is available through her website. She is fascinated by spiritual and magical imagery in art, and is currently working on a series of Hamsa amulets, inspired by evil-eye imagery from North Africa and the Middle East. Her calligraphic works and paintings are in numerous public and private collections, and she is a two-time recipient of the Illinois Arts Council Artist's Fellowship Award.
