Nicoletta Ceccoli's Biography

Nicoletta has been working as an illustrator of children's books since 1995. She has illustrated several book in the US, UK, Italian and Taiwanese publishers, including Random House, Simon and Shuster, Houghton Mifflin, Mondadori and Grimm Press. In 2001 in she won the Andersen Prize for "Baia delle favole," Best Illustrator of the Year. In 2006 she was awarded with a Silver Medal from the Society of Illustrators of New York. She has had solo exhibitions in Seattle at Roq la Rue Gallery, in Toronto at Magic Pony Gallery and in Manchester, UK at Richard Goodall Gallery. In 2008 she worked as a character designer for a French 3D animation project called "La Mecanique du Couer" with the direction of Mathia Melzieau and the production of Luc and Silla Besson.
