Stephen Le Fae's Biography

His earliest memory a box of 64 crayons, Youth found Stephen to be quiet, contemplative and above all, creative. Drawing absorbed his formative years, later giving way to watercolors and painting biker-jackets, leading to canvas and ultimately, to oil painting. Life now finds Stephen vastly unchanged: That is to say, absorbed in his paintings. Now, that particular quietness and contemplation of those younger years is found reflected in his works of today. "A certain flawed and tragic beauty, bitter-but-sweet wistfulness" sought to be captured within depictions of quiet moments - Tranquility steeped in pain[ful] introspections and dissidence, utilizing the feminine form balancing beauty and darkness, of heavy shadows reaching for growth through degeneration of image and the decay of color... A self taught painter, Commissioned and Freelance Artist, Stephen has enjoyed the sale of many paintings, which currently now reside in Chicago, New York, Kentucky and all over California. No, not much has changed since those first 64, except now his wife calls Him "A Pretty Color"...
